Does your life include joyful creative messes?

Or are you unable to get creative because you have too much uncontrolled clutter in your environment, or in your life?

Either way, you've come to the right place!

Growth - and creativity - are messy processes!

It seems that every time I am in the midst of my greatest creativity, I create a mess.

For example, while I was writing and recording CPR for Your Business and Your Life, there were papers and books strewn all over my house, on every counter top, table, and even chairs (thank goodness the toilet was spared!).

Then, as each idea found its place in the book (or put away for future reference or trashed), my house got clearer.

Once I completed the book, I cleared the "mess", and got my house back :-)

While creating pottery, I first clear a table space so that I can play with lots of "stuff" (clay, boards, baskets, tools, etc) .  I then let my imagination run wild, and make pieces to my heart's content. The midst of the process looks like a mess.

When I'm done I place all of the pieces on shelves, then clear and clean the table. Finally, I pause to notice and appreciate that day's work.

I used to judge myself for making messes, and sometimes in mid-mess of lengthy projects, I'd forget that there will be an end to it.

I often work with clients who are "overwhelmed" with too many details, and too much STUFF in their lives.

But what is the real cause of their overwhelm?

Most of the time, it's because they are growing. I remind them that they chose to grow. 

And messiness is just part of it.

And the mess will come to an end, I promise.

I know that if they choose to continue growing, they will probably create more messes.

With more joy next time, we hope :-)

Then again, maybe you have the opposite problem.

Maybe your mess is so overwhelming to you that you can't find your way out, to  creativity, relaxation or peace of mind.

We first met at an "organizing" workshop that she facilitated. The timing was perfect, as I'd just moved and I still had boxes stacked in the living room. With my new intention, CLARITY, clearing that space became so much easier and more effortless.
