Scaughdt, Peace Pilgrim
(pronounced Scot)
A good friend of mine called me last week and said, with a plea of desperation in her voice:
"Debbie, will you recommend a book that will tell me EXACTLY what I need to do and say, to set boundaries at home."
Setting healthy boundaries can be challenging, especially with people you love.
I then remembered that Scaughdt, who presented a Rediscovering Peace seminar that I attended last Saturday, offered Specific advice based on sound Spiritual principles on boundary setting. In fact, when I went home, I practiced his suggestions, and they worked beautifully.
So I called Scaughdt and he agreed to do a tele-seminar for everyone to benefit.
Questions from Listeners that Scaughdt responded to during the call:
"Looking forward to it. Hope you will address relationships for singles too. How do we find a companion who is worthy of our love without getting dud after dud? And how do we stop abuse from going on too long? How do we even know we are being abused in our relationships?" - Cynthia C.
"I'm interested in learning how to set boundaries around family members who may be engaging in behaviors that are unacceptable to me. I would also benefit from advice on ways to calmly respond to upset responses to setting boundaries." - Beverly B.
"I am basically a people pleaser so setting boundaries has been a little difficult for me. I am ready for peace in my life with boundaries." - Petra S.
